Would you be so kind to provide me with any information you have on the Archangels. (Michael,etc....as in where can I find them in the Bible)
Answer
There are only two references to archangels in the Bible:
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16) (It doesn’t name an archangel in this passage.)
“Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.” (Jude 9)
Gabriel, who some people name as an archangel, is only called an angel in the Bible. If the passage in 1 Thessalonians means, by saying “the” archangel, that there is only one, then it would be Michael. People talk about Gabriel blowing his horn, but this would indicate that it is Michael who will blow the shofar at the end.
