What Does the Bible Say About..Becoming an Angel?

How do you get to become an angel, and do ghosts exist from Heaven or hell?

Answer

I am not sure where the myth about people becoming angels started, but it is just a myth. Angels are created spiritual beings. People are different created beings. One doesn't become the other, just like a dog doesn't become a cat when it dies. "What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour." (Psalm 8:4-5)

The Bible doesn't talk about ghosts, in the sense of spirits of dead people visiting earth. It indicates that once people die they have nothing to do with this world, and do not come back as wandering spirits. Luke 16:19-31 tells of two men who died. One asked to be allowed to return to earth to warn his brothers not to do what he did. He was apparently not allowed to return to earth and was told that it would do no good even if he could.

There is also no indication that we can see any other spirits, such as angels. There have been some examples in the Bible in which angels did appear to people, but they either appeared as men or they were so obviously angels from God that the people they appeared to recognized them as angels. Nothing indicates the presence of ghosts, from heaven or hell.
