I was just wondering if the bible says anything about dreams that we have from time to time. I was researching this subject the other day in the bible and all I got was that sometimes God speaks to in a vision or through a dream. Could you give me some feedback on this. I would like to know what you think about dreams.. Sometimes these dreams are scary, as I have been having in the past few days. The only thing I know to do is ask God and Jesus Christ, Our Lord, to please give me peace from this illusion and protect me.

There was a time when God spoke to people through dreams. That time ended almost two thousand years ago. "God, who in various times and different manners spoke IN TIMES PAST to the fathers through the prophets, has IN THESE LAST DAYS spoken to us by his Son." (Hebrews 1:1-2, emphasis mine) The writer contrasts the time before Christ when God used dreams, visions, and other methods to deliver his word to the time of the New Testament when God spoke only through His son. Those former times are no more.
Some dreams may be the subconscious dealing with the problems and frustrations of the day; a sort of mental safety valve. Other dreams may just be the mind's way of entertaining itself. Whatever, the Bible teaches that God no longer speaks to us in dreams. Our dreams, though, may be our own mind's way of telling us we need to make some changes.
