There are 59 verses in the Bible that use the word “hell,” although in many of those the reference is actually to the grave rather than to what we generally think of as hell. There are 550 verses that mention heaven, although many of those refer to the sky rather than the abode of God. Many other times it is used it is uncertain which of those two is being talked about.
Generally speaking, the Bible mentions heaven more than hell. Nobody should draw any conclusions from that fact, however. That doesn’t mean that one is any more important, or any more real than the other. The only conclusion that can be drawn is that the Bible mentions one more than the other.
