What Does the Bible Say About..Law of One?

I recently stumbled upon a belief called the law of one. They teach love and acceptance of others and they believe in the creator but I was wondering what your personal thoughts on the subject were. Seems interesting but I cant seem to figure out whether it is of satan or not.

Answer

I have not previously heard of the Law of One philosophy. I researched it online, and it appears little different than certain parts of Buddhist teaching. Particularly of note are the teachings on reincarnation and the idea that we are all part of one universal entity that is composed of the memories and experiences of all people at all times. This is very similar to the concept of reincarnation until we become one with the universe, a drop in the sea of existence.

This differs from the teachings found in the Bible. God is creator and we are created (Genesis 1). Each person is an individual who will live and die only once (Hebrews 9:27) and will be judged individually. The Bible clearly teaches a final judgement and a division of the saved and the lost (Matthew 25). From what I have been able to read from their own rather confused writings and from what others have written (seemingly objectively) about those who hold these beliefs, one cannot be a Christian and a believer in the Law of One.

It is interesting to me, with all the predictions of the end of the world as we know it in 2007, 2011, or 2012, that the Law of One also predicts that this earth will undergo a “harvest” or change in or about 2011. It is hard to tell if this is going to be like some “rapture” theories, where some will simply disappear while the rest continue to live another “third density” life, or whether everyone will be aware of the change.

Note: I originally answered this question in April of 2011. Since it is now past 2011 it is obvious that this part of Law of One teaching was false, or that it happened without anyone knowing about it.
