What Does the Bible Say About..Praying Together?

Does the Bible mention anything about husbands and wives praying together?

I have found nothing specifically commanding or forbidding husbands and wives to pray together. The closest I could find was 1 Corinthians 7:5: “Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.” Here Paul tells spouses not to deny each other their marital rights, except when they agree for a short time to forego sex in order that they (together?) devote themselves to fasting and prayer.

Although there is no direct scripture commanding that a congregation pray together, most include prayer as part of their assembly. Although a few congregations may separate men and women, most allow them to sit together. That being true, husbands and wives often pray together in the assembly. I know of nobody who forbids it.

I heard a statistic recently, but can not verify it. I was told that the divorce rate among couples who prayed together was only 1%, significantly lower than the general population. If true, this is a strong argument in favor of a husband and wife praying together, even if it is not addressed in scripture.
