What does the Bible say about rebuilding Jerusalem?
Jerusalem was destroyed by the Babylonians under Nebuchadrezzar (also called Nebuchadnezzar) in 586 BC. Several of the prophets (Jeremiah, Ezekiel primarily) wrote about the rebuilding of Jerusalem. Those prophecies were fulfilled in the books of Ezra, Nehemiah, and Haggai. The Bible does not talk about any other rebuilding of Jerusalem.
The city was partially destroyed in 70 AD. It was not fully destroyed and has been in continuous existence since Nehemiah’s rebuilding in 475 BC. Therefore, the Bible does not need to say anything more about rebuilding Jerusalem, since it doesn’t need rebuilding.
