Who do you say Jesus is?
Answer
When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 16:13-17)
And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what hinders me to be immersed? And Philip said, If you believe with all your heart, you may. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus the Messiah is the Son of God. (Acts 8:37-38)
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:5-11)
There are many other scriptures calling him the head of the church, the firstborn from the dead, the King of kings, savior, lord, and several other things. Who I say Jesus is means very little. Who God, in his word, says Jesus is means everything.
